I am planning on having Braces next year but the prices in Hong Kong are going over the moon.
Can anyone recommend a good Dentist who won't charge a whole fortune on Braces...

You can visit Dr. Ma Tsun at Bayley and Jackson's central clinic. He's a specialist in orthodontist so you know you'll be getting your braces done correctly. He usually has a long waiting time for the initial consultation, so you should plan in advanced

I think it is wiser to pay more to see a specialist instead of doing it with a GP in HK or mainland to ensure quality. Although lots of dentist "offer" orthodontic treatment, they may not be qualified or trained. A lot of them just do short courses and may be inexperienced.

Probably its not a bad idea to get consultations from all or at least two out of the three. They may have different treatment suggestions and its good to make an educated decision. Their fees may be different depends on their recommendation.

I would highly recommand my dentist Dr.Cheong.He is a very good one, in terms of knowledge, technique and service. However, his charges are reasonable. They welcome patients to enquire the charges beforehand. Dr. Cheong removed my wisdom teeth only charged me $1200 with check up and x-ray etc. Teeth cleaning only charge $220 and crown is about $2100.
Here is his #3514-6252. Dr. Cheong Yun Lung--dental surgeon. and the address is Shop 107,Hoi Lai Shopping Centre, Hoi Lai Estate, Lai Chi Kok,Kowloon, Hong Kong. Last time i saw him was half years ago,I think he is still at that location.
