Hi. Since watching this video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V81uwYDa0Q I have realised that I do not have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) but Lactose Intolerance. That's probably better, but I wondered if there are sufficient non-lactose products that I can use? I should I ship them over from UK? Thanks.

I am severely lactose intolerent, which was diagnosed by biopsy of my small bowel in the Uk.
Basically, avoid all foods with lactose in them, includes Milk, yoghurts, cheeses, ice creams. You will find in Hk most general food stores, Parknshop. Welcome, City Super, have soya milk, some have soya yoghurts and ice creams, there is even ordinary milk which is lactose free-has had it removed, also there is a cream substitute-in a squirty tin which has no lactose I found a better source/choice of lactose free products in HK, so no need to send to the UK for anything.
When i travelled I always had a supply of 'coffee creamer' sachets, they don't contain lactose, and i used them for my breakfast tea, so no probs! even where they don't speak much English.
After a while you get used to eating the foods without lactose,in fact it is healthier because you are also avoiding the cholesterol as well, it is no big deal.
