We're looking for travel insurance for a single trip to the US this Christmas for a 73 year old. He has a pre-existing condition.
Has anyone had success doing this so far? We're finding it a bit of a challenge. Please let me know if you have any tips; or if you're an agent, please PM me directly.

Most travel insurance will cover 73 year olds. But none will cover pre-existing conditions. It doesn't make sense for them to cover it as otherwise people would buy it, travel outside the country and get treatment for pre-existing conditions paid by the insurance company.
So forget about looking for any that cover pre-existing conditions. Just find travel insurance that covers 73 year olds. Most do.
Check bank's websites too as sometimes they have discounts on their travel insurance and you don't always have to be one of their customers to buy it.
