Hi all,
I just turn 35 and has been advice by my RE that due to high FSH (12.3), I need to do the IVF - short protocol...can anyone tell me if my FSH is really high and what is it like to do the short protocol.
Thanks in advance!

Bebelim, Try searching in the Pregnancy fertility forum. You might find a number of answers there from someone with similar situation as yours. I have done a short protocol but my fsh is fine. Its very similar to long protocol except all the suppression drugs, so the time taken is much shorter- hence the name. It is also considered more aggressive and is recommended for women 35 and above.

Hi, If the FSH is above 11 is very sensitive of ovarian failure.

Yes, do post and search on the pregnancy and fertility forum - you will get more responses.
Just bear in mind, FSH does fluctuate. I just turned 40 - and my FSH is 7 most months. However, one month last year it shot up to 14.8. That month we ended up doing IUI with injectibles instead of IVF because my ovaries were not responding very well to the meds.
