need IVF doc, pls help, new in HK

Hello,


I've posted this in Moms and dads, before i saw this board, i might have some answers here.....


We will relocate to Hk soon, I plan to start another IVF cycle (failed one in SG) My RE in Sg recommends Dr. Milton. Anyone knows him? Who else are the IVF doctors?


Right now, i just need a kind, caring, understanding doctor who will look after me. Anyone been under Dr. Milton? no idea about him, is he young, old? Good bedside manners? fee?


Thanks so much for your help. I read that he is located in Central, so hoping i find an apartment that is near.

Heard of Dr. Alex Doo, Dr. Philip Ho and Dr. Derek Lo.


Dr.Milton Leung is suppose to be very experienced but very expensive.

how expensive is it compared to the 3 other REs? I spent a total of around HK$76,500 here in Singapore for a fresh IVF cycle.

Sorry I don't know the exact costs s I have not had it done. I have just been doing research on the costs for future reference and phoning around.

Dr. Milton Leong set up the first IVF clinic in HK at the Sanatorium Hospital in the '80s. Dr. Alex Doo is actually in Dr. Leong's practice so I imagine that their fees would be similar. To give you an idea, a consultation is $1,000. Not cheap, but you'll find that all the doctors of his standing have similar rates. Dr. Leong is older, very experienced and has really good bedside manner, he's also very gentle and patient. The number is 2523 3007. Good luck.

I would personally recommend Dr Derek Lo having gone to several Ob / Gyns in Hong Kong. I am not sure of IVF costs but Dr Lo charges HKD1600 per cycle for IUI, which includes about 4-5 visists and ultra sounds. He is extremely caring. But did one cycle with Leong, and he just doesnt seems to have time for you. Charges HJ$1000/- per consultation and another HK$800 for a scan. Been to three other Gyno's as well for various issues but Dr Lo is by far the best I have come across and heard the same from several others. His no is 2522-0691
