Patient Abandonment, Medical Council's Decision & International Medical Insurance

Patient abandonment is not uncommon in HK. Hong Kong Medical Council's decision letter stated that doctors in HK have full right to refuse patients and doctors are not obligated to communicate.

Knowing the system is like this, having surgery done in Hong Kong will be at our own risk. HK doctors can refuse to provide follow-up care and the Medical Ordinance allows this.

Therefore, I am searching for a good international medical insurance which could cover treatment and surgeries done overseas.

Any suggestions?
