I will be a NET teacher in HK and I was told that I need a chest X-ray. Anyone knows that I can get one done for free in the government or I need to go to see the private doctor?

you can get it done for free at a government clinic. ask your school for a list of clinics - i know there is one in north point. make an appointment and then go. when i went i was the only one in the whole place!

you will need a HK ID at the time to qualify for the public health system - which is excellent by the way.

The school should be able to supply you with all the documents you need. I taught in the local school system so they will tell you what to do and where to go...it's on the form. Get back to your school or to the NET co-ordinator assigned to you by the Eduation Dept.

don't need to be permanent. Just need an ID card. You're set.
