Sazzy, I have been undergoing treatment for Tendon related problems for over 3 years now. There is no tendon specialist here other than orthopaedic surgeons. Nerves are different and there are numerous neurologists - Try Gardian Fong in Princes Building. You may require a referall letter to see him. I am not sure of his tel no

In the US. there are physical and occupational therapists who receive special training to become hand therapists. These professionals are very experienced in treating and upper extremity conditions. I would recommend you ask your doctor for a referral to see a hand therapist in Hong Kong. I'm sure there are hand therapists here, I just don't know where at present as I am new to HK. Some plastic surgeons also specialize in hand surgery - these surgeons often know a lot about tendons .. something else worth checking out.

Acupuncture can be very effective for most any type of nerve-related damage. If you are interested in trying acupuncture I am an American acupuncturist who makes housecalls throughout Shanghai. If you're ever in the area I would be most happy to meet with you. I can be contacted at acudoctor.clady@gmail.com.

good luck!
