Does anyone have any suggestion making a Chinese soup or herbal tea for helping improve the quality of sleep? My mother cannot sleep well recently?

You are right and it is definitely better to ask for doctor's subscription, but I would like to ask for Chinese Med and its herbal. It seems to be more healthy. Does anyone have good suggestions for Chinese Med then?

It is a good idea to improve the quality of sleep by making Chinese soup for your mother, but it would be much more important to have a healthy life style just as malka mentioned. If she keeps going in this way, she should have a dianosis from doctor. I used to seek dianosis from a Chi Med called Dr. Hoi I Ching in Central. She is quite helpful for me.

I believe that Chi Med trustworthy as she got interviews from some newspapers ( and that is why I found this Chi Med). Then I search her Chinese name 許懿清中醫 on the internet and found she is a graduate in Chi Med from Hong Kong Baptist University. Most importantly, she alleviated my sleep problem. Hope you can find the suitable one soon : )

May I know more about lily and wheat for better sleep? Last month I needa work over night and now I am not able to sleep at the right time. Could you suggest more?

Dr. Hoi has long been my Chinese Med and I believe she cares about every of her clients. She gave me a soup that helped my sleeping problem before. Let you see whether it can help your mother as well. A soup called "Longan Aril, Tian Dong and Fishhead Fish Soup" is very good for sleeping well. I learnt from a book written by a book written by a Chimed named Dr. Hoi I Cheng to make soup for myself.

Ingredients: 20g dried longan aril, 20g each of Tian Dong and Mai Dong, 6 candied dates, 800g flathead fish, 5 slices ginger, Pinch of salt, and 1,200ml water.

Procedure: 1. Soak Tian Dong and Mai Dong in water for 2 hours. Discard water. Remove gills and guts of fish. Retain scales. Rinse fish. Heat oil in wok. Pan-fry fish until both sides turn golden. Remove from wok and wipe off excess oil. 2. Pour water into a tall pot. Put in all ingredients (except salt). Bring to boil with high heat. Continue boiling for another 10 minutes. Adjust to how heat and simmer for 2 hours. Add salt as seasonning. Done.

As for nasal allergy, you should seek dianosis from that doctor. I had long been suffering from nasal allergy with insominia over 10 years. After having dianosis from Chinese Med, I don't face up to nasal allergy anymore. You should give Chinese Med a try.

Hi Melissamerk, I believe the price of seeking diagnosis from Chi Med would be very reasonable. More importantly, health is something priceless and. As I know, the approach of Chinese Medicine would be more moderate than modern western mechine. So I usually prefer Chi Med.
