WOULD DAVID CAMERON FEED HIS FAMILY GMO FOOD?

Although Monsanto has, for now, withdrawn from Europe, the lobbying of politicians is relentless. Last year the GM companies, having met with British ministers at a little-publicised ‘Growing for Growth’ conference, started another push to promote GM.


David Cameron stated that Europe was “being left behind” even though it had been disclosed that GM food is banned from all the restaurants in the Palace of Westminster, and he himself was refusing to say whether he’d feed GM food to his family.

Most politicians live in plush areas which are environmentally pristine, eat organic food, have full time trainers and staff.. however the policies are totally opposite.. the elite politicians have more common things among them (as per Matt Damon's speech) than with their countrymen..


they know the policies that they enact will not affect their family, relatives or friends.. but will benefit them at the cost of millions of fellow country men ( e.g. wars, industrial policies, trade policies, financial bailouts tec)..


this is known.. why bother??

I would agree that most people are aware that politicians are pampered and corrupt...


But I don't think many people were aware that Cameron was supporting GMO while refusing to eat it...


And I think there are quite a few people who remain unaware of the dangers of GMO --- otherwise why would anyone be unconcerned about consuming GMO products?

But when Dr. Pusztai fed the GM potato to rats using his new safety testing protocol, he got a shock. Nearly every system in the rats' bodies was adversely affected—several in just 10 days. Their brains, livers, and testicles were smaller, while their pancreases and intestines were enlarged. The liver was partially atrophied. Organs related to the immune system, including the thymus and the spleen, showed significant changes. Their white blood cells responded to an immune challenge more slowly, indicating immune system damage.



In all cases, the GM potato created proliferative cell growth in the stomach and small and large intestines; the lining was significantly thicker than controls. Although no tumors were detected, such growth can be precancerous.

RUSSIA TO CRIMINALIZE GMO CROPS


Recently, an NGO began working closely with the Russian Duma to enact a set of laws criminalizing the introduction of harmful genetically-modified crops as well as withholding information on harmful effects of such crops. Russian President Vladimir Putin has indicated he will sign such legislation, saying Russia can grow enough food for itself without genetic engineering it.


“If Americans like to eat such foods, they can eat them,” Putin is reported to have said. But with GMO companies in the U.S. massively campaigning to hide GMO content—do Americans really know what they are eating?
