Doctor Doctor

I am on a tourtist visa, and in need of a doctor, preferably a cheap yet reliable one.

Anyone?

Most English-speaking (expats) doctors are in private practice and will charge accordingly ($500+). The alternative is to go to the Government hospitals but you will pay extra as a visitor, around $570 I think.


I don't know whereabouts you are in HK but if in Central you can consider Central Hospital. It is a private hospital but not too expensive and waiting time should not exceed 30 mins.

There are many doctors in HK that will only charge $50 but do not expect them to speak English.

walk down pretty much any street in hong kong and you will find a doctor's office. the doctors around my place charge between $130 -150 for consultation and medicine for 3 days. and they all speak english. have yet to come across a doctor that doesn't. i am pretty sure that they study in english at universtiy (and many of them have been overseas to study) so their english is fine!
