Looking for A GOOD PEDIATRICIAN

Hi everyone!


I have a baby girl, aged 1 year and 3months. She isn't walking or talking yet. I'm certain that she has late psychomotor and I guess, mental development. She also has cafe au lait spots, small and big ones, which are spread all over her body. I searched the net about these spots, and it scared the hell out of me ( I found out about NF-1)! I had her checked by the doctor at the clinic where she is registered, doctor gave a referral letter to QMH. The clinic said they'll call me once appointment is arranged at QMH Pediatric section. I had to initiate a follow-up call cause I haven't heard from the clinic 2 weeks after the check-up. Finally, the telephone person at the clinic phoned me and tell me that they cannot arranged for schedule at QMH because there's a lot of kids on waiting list!


Does anyone here knows a good pediatrician, but who will not charge a lot? I know I can avail the hospital services provided by the HK government, but 6 months waiting before I will know the condition of my baby is not acceptable to me. I need to know as soon as possible what's going on. I hate the unknown, most especially when it comes to my baby's health.

You could call the Repulse Bay Medical Practise and try seeing a GP.


Or another GP - Dr Henserson, from Veritas. Could provide the contacts if you're interested.


But I think, if it's a big problem and you're really worried about it, just pay the $1000+ and see a good pediatrician to put your mind at ease?


My ped is Dr Mark Chan, from Matilda Hospital. He has a clinic in Central Building.

i appreciate your recommendations. i searched for Repulse Bay Medical Practise, and they actually have a center also here at Wanchai, which is Veritas and very close to our place.


i'll call them today and schedule for an appointment with the resident pediatrician there.
