Neither nor. It is good to reduce the chances of platelets sticking together, and thereby beginning a clotting process which could lead to stroke or heart attack.

Reduce stress. Exercise. Get your weight into re recommended zone. If you have done all of these things and the 2nd number in the BP is over 100, you need some medication. Asia Expat.com is a good start but you do need to SEE a real Dr.not just Echat with docboat and me.

Hi 190k,

I know of a nutrition that helps in maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system. A friend (170/110 on first check) got his BP down to normal in about 1.5 months and also got his glucose level to normal level.

I would reccommend that you try this as it does not have a side effect/complications like most drugs used for the cardiovascular system, like aspirin.

If you are interested to know more, drop me an email.

Sounds like the Atkins Diet - which is excellent. Consider also arginine (amino acid) and red rice yeast for cholesterol and BP control. Also niacin in high doses. Great nutritional supplements.

Try eating star fruit a few times a week as part of a fitness/diet/stress-reduction regime. Star fruit is not to everyone's taste but it helps lower blood pressure.

Good, but a level of 95 is not acceptable.Your approach is admirable, BUT

With the BEST diet, the BEST exercise program, the BEST lifestyle some people will still be hypertensive. We are not talking about a symptom that is inconvenient we are talking survival!
