amalgam/mercury filling

My dentist told me the same. The amalgam is a very stable compound once it's set, and unless it shows sign of breaking loose, it's best to leave it alone. To drill it out now might actually post more danger to you.

Spoke to a faculty member of the UCLA Dental school as well as a toxicologist who works with the California Poison Control Center.

They both told me that the amount of mercury is tiny and what is there is very stable. They both said that the who filling removal business is one big scam.
