Nosebleeds are very common due to the fact that the small blood vessels in the nasal septum are superficial, exposed and ‘leak’ easily. In children often the smallest thing can trigger a nose-bleed (change of weather, stress, nose picking, a cold). Although a nosebleed can be a sign of an underlying problem, occasional recurring nosebleeds are invariably a ‘normal’ occurrence.
As long as the parents (and carers) are familiar with effective first aid, no other measures need to be taken. The bleeding point can be treated in frequent and difficult to control bleeding.

If it is from the Little’s area and of the nose and minor, it is due to dryness and picking. Vaseline will work. If the vessels are expanded and congested cautery might be needed. If it is higher up the nose a specialist opinion is needed (my doctor gave us this advice for a similar problem, would be able to help you 2849 7236)
