I am experiencing symptoms of menopause. I am only 40 so I know it's early but this is genetic....
I have googled loads of stuff and have a better idea of what and why...however there are so many things being said I would love any advice that's out there from someone who's lived it or is living it which may help such as vitamins, diet, exercise etc....
The hot flashes are driving me crazy o begin with..what else should I expect?

Thank you for your reply....4years?! Do they become more regular, die off, get stronger? I'm doing my best to ignore them too but sometimes the heat is very intense. I've begun upping my vitamin intake as well. I exercise regularly so actualy feel fighting fit which is why I was rather shocked when I realised what was happening. Is there anything else that I should expect that the books didn't tell you?? I'm trying to keep a positive approach.

My friend told me to think of my hot flushes as 'power surges', which makes me feel heaps better about them!

I attended a talk last month at Helena May on Menopause with the YWCA by a Dr Lily , she talked about traditional HRT and also alternative ways to manage it. She seemd very knowledgable and was also very friendly. I think she works parttime at holistic central, where the other alternative practitioners work as well so you can check them out

here is a very good food supplement Health Comes First 3-in-1 capsules go to worldwide house in central shop 309, 3/f. It corrects hormonal imbalance and makes your estrogen level stable. Menopausal pains and discomforts will be gone.

For those of you taking supplement, make sure you are getting good quality supplement and have the right dosage, it really makes a lot of different. Too much of commercial products available so you need to check it out before you buy. Also you need to know when is good for you to take those supplement for better absorption.

I have been studying this same type of problem myself. I'm going to turn 40 this year and have not experienced the hot flashes, but just a general 'something's not quite right' feeling. Fatigued all the time and just not the same as i was a mere 5 or 6 years ago. I stumbled across a Naturapathic study that i purchased online and i have gotten some great info that is already helping me feel better. It recommends taking Black Cohosh (the standardized kind) for 3 months. You should feel much better. If you're interested in more info, just google 'naturapause' and it will take you to numerous websites to purchase it. it is a little pricey and I was a little skeptical, but the info i have found has begun to change how i feel. It is worth every penny. you get 2 books and 6 audios. It will tell you what vitamins and herbs you need to start taking and also what you need to stop doing to feel better. anyway, hope this helps. I've been so encouraged by it & am happy to tell others to check it out too....and NO i don't make a penny by referring you!
