Medication

Hi Everyone,

I moved to Hong Kong a few months ago and when I arrived brought my medication with me from the UK. I'm near to running out of my medication and have been told that I should go to a place called Fanda to get them. I went in and priced them and for all my meds it's going to cost me $5,000. Is there a cheaper way to get my medication and if so where from? Apparently it's all down to the fact that Hong Kong don't sell many generic brands.

Thank You in anticipation,

Peter

I guess you should just check around other chemists. I discovered meds in HK are much more than in the UK , even for generics, unless you do not mind taking the local brands.

Don't mind taking the local brands if they do the same job as the tablets I'm taking at the moment. How do I get a referral for local brands do you know?

Just go into any pharmacy with your meds and ask for a reliable local brand. Or if you try there are British or Canadian generics around which should not cost an arm and a leg. I just have more trust in them.
