Plied with so many pills, it cost me a fortune and didn't help in my case. I didn't like his bedside manner either but that's personal. I got better results seeing an acupuncturist/Chinese Medicine practioner - try Cecilia Tse at Vitality Centre or Troy Sing.

i went to graham s-b about a month ago because i am always tired. having never been to a naturopath before i guess i don't really have a benchmark, but he seemed okay. his business has a website - i think it's imi.com.hk (integrated medical institute).

I have heard many good things about Graeme SB. His stuff worked too! I think they improved the website too: www.imm.com.hk They have moved to Stanley St (Central) now.

ummm...I wouldn't recommend G-S-B unless you're loaded.

Mummy was lucky...I, on average, had to dough out between $5k - 8k per month for his service and this was back in 1994-1995.

BTW, I wasn't and ain't loaded but wanted to avoid orthodox medicine, therefore gave it a try for a year. Didn't really help in terms of my health but what I benefited most from his consultation was that I had become much more health conscious in a wholistic manner.

He charges $800 for a consultation - EXCLUDING medicines. We were told not to be late for the appt. only to be left waiting for 45 minutes! I agree with the above - unless you are loaded/ company is footing your medical bills you'd be better off without him.

My wife became a fan of GS-B a some years ago. As a cynical male I regarded him as a faddish money making machine and referred to him as "The Witch Doctor"!

My wife and I both had high cholesterol and were prescribed 10mg of Lipator daily. Wife decided that the Lipator would help but could be harmful in the long run. She went to GS-B who prescribed a herbal alternative. After some months she talked me into taking this and giving up the Lipator. I did so in September 2005. In May 2006 we went to Bangkok for our annual medicals and our cholesterol was normal!

A few weeks ago I spent a night in hospital. To cut a very long story short I was sent home at 5 p.m. the following day having had lots of tests and no results.

Wife persuaded me to go to GS-B who I had never met. I went somewhat unwillingly. He diagnosed my condition, prescribed some "potions" and a diet and sent me on my way (somewhat poorer I admit...!).However it worked. Where "traditional" medics failed GS-B came through!

The pills etc. that GS-B sells are expensive. One bone of contention is that they change brands too often! Also some things are (in true Hong Kong fashion!) "out of stock"!However I now regard GS-B's prescriptions as prevention - expensive but necessary. (Also I have found a website in the US that sells many of the brands we use at excellent prices....).

P.S. I am not "loaded"....!

cygnet - I don't think $800 for a professional consultation is expensive. A visit to a specialist is anywhere between $600 - $1,200 in HK. It's rather all the herbal and nutritional supplements that I had to buy and take. I was so busy popping about 30 pills a day.

These pills, claimed to be from natural herbs, how do you know they are safe and free from side effects? People get allergy and toxic side effects from herbal medicine all the time. But of course it is impossible to have large scale studies on the efficacy and safety of them because they are so poorly characterised as there are so many different ingredients in one single herb.

top2000 -

We take Cholestorel Response. Google it and you will find a breakdown of the ingredients etc.

tacro-

You seem to be indulging in sweeping statements "People get allergy and toxic side effects from herbal medicine all the time". Please expand. Also expand on how there can be "....so many different ingerdieants in one single herb".
