Chinese treatment of Excema.

I am an American TCM doctor in Shanghai. There is no one TCM "cure" for excema as each person's constitutional profile is different. This means two people with similar or exactly the same Western presentation of excema may be given very different TCM treatments. A simple home treatment you can try is applying a strong green or black tea solution compress to the affected areas. You can also try to find the herbal external lotion called "Bing Pian Shuang" at a Chinese pharmacy. Topicals rarely are sufficient for severe eczema and you would do much better with taking an internal tea prescribed by a TCM practitioner.

If you are ever in Shanghai I would be happy to consult with you and recommend herbs. You can contact me at acudoctor.clady@gmail.com

Lastly, as for diet avoid tomatoes, peanuts, duck, lamb, citrus fruits, mustard greens, mushrooms, seafood, alcohol, onions, and garlic. Foods to eat more of include sesame oil, carrots, squash, pumpkin, leafy greens (other than mustard), mung beans, cucumbers, soy, and goat milk.

Hope this helps!

Try the department of Chinese medicine at the unveristy of Hong Kong. At least they are more reliable and won't take you for a ride.

Eczema is by nature uncurable but manageble. There are lots of non-steroidal western preparations you can get over the counter that can help you a lot. You can also look up tacrolimus or Protopic in the internet which you may find helpful.
