I am not familiar with doctors specializing in that particular surgery but for facial bone contouring surgery, but in Thailand usually doctors that work on a lot of transsexuals will have much more experience in that procedure. Bone recontouring/facial feminization is often performed after sex-reassignment (to reshape jaws, browbones). Jaw recontouring requires a bit more skill (avoiding facial nerves, maintaining symmetry etc). You will find that it is considerably more traumatic surgically (need a lot more recovery time because the swelling will be pretty bad).

hi happyvalentine,

I'm going to yanhee for nosejob. If you can give me some advice, please :-) How long is your recovery? Up until now, how does it feel to have implant in your nose? can you feel your implant or feel natural already after couple months? does it hurt when you touch it now? Your answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..

You should be prepared for some discomfort - swelling and black eyes immediately after the operation. The swelling can take up to one year to completely disapper and for your face to feel 'normal' agian. There will be some sensitivity in the nose area, I found especially in colder whether. I also could not blow my nose properly and had no feeling in my nose end for about 8 months. It was sensitive to touch for about 6 months I think. You need to be very careful in the first year - any slight knock or bang may alter the nose shape (and in the event of accident, you should not re-operate until at least 12 months after the original op).

One year on - I feel my nose has settled down now and there is no pain or discomfort. I am pleased with the results and am glad I did the operation. I did not do the operation in Thailand, but have heard good things about Yanhee. May I ask how much your surgery is costing Nicola? I am considering a further minor op. Good luck, if you would like more information, let me know.
