Which ob/gyn and where to deliver?

I posted this in the "pregnancy and fertility" section but perhaps it's more appropriate in this section:

Which ob/gyn would you recommend? I've been to Dr. Alex Doo before. He was good but I felt that he was rushing through things (For the procedures, the nurse prepped me and he just came in for the procedures). I also didn't like the long wait prior to the visit.

And, I heard that Matilda is best for delivery. But, my local friends who delivered at the Sanatorium/ Canossa/ Adventist said that those hospitals are really good too. So, what's the difference between these hospitals (besides the costs??). And is it true that some hospitals will put you on a waiting list?

The costs will be partially covered and finances aren't an issue. So, I just want to know the differences between the hospitals...

My husband and I are planning to start a family (not pregnant yet) and would like to get all the necessary info ahead of time so there aren't any surprises...

Thanks in advance!

I know a good obs / gynae: Dr Steven Lo 23678682

As for hospitals, since you have time, why not look go and take a look for yourself at the rooms and facilities. If you explain your purpose, they may let you take a look around. Don't forget to ask about emergency plans as the most unusual things can happen at the most unusual time in baby deliveries.

matilda hospital is the best, nicest, for non-complicated births. not every dr can deliver there, so that may help you narrow down drs.
