Saving my small vineyards in Italy. A personal story from the Prosecco Hills

Hi everyone,
I hope it's okay to share a small personal story here with fellow Italy lovers.

I’m Enrico, a small vineyard farmer from Valdobbiadene — in the beautiful Prosecco Hills of northern Italy.
I’ve been working my family vineyards and some rented plots for 6 years, using sustainable methods (SQNPI certified).

Unfortunately, in recent years, a severe vine disease (Flavescenza dorata) has devastated many vineyards here. I’m now trying to replant 2200 m² this year, with another 2500 m² next year.

Most of my work is still done by hand, as my equipment is very old. My dream is to rebuild these vineyards and hopefully buy a used tractor to keep this small family tradition alive.

I started a small GoFundMe to help with the replanting and equipment costs. If anyone here loves Italy, its landscapes, and small wine stories — and feels like sharing or supporting — here is my campaign:

No pressure at all — just reading my story already means a lot to me.
Wishing you all beautiful future travels in Italy!
