The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was first formed by a group of volunteers in 1903 and became active in 1921. Our 95th Anniversary of the SPCA gives a rundown of key milestones in our development.
The SPCA has 7 clinics which are located in Wanchai, Ho Man Tin, Sai Kung, Hang Hau, Yuen Long, Mui Wo and Cheung Chau.
3 of our centres with veterinary clinics: Hong Kong (located in Wanchai), Kowloon (in Ho Man Tin) and Sai Kung also have adoption facilities for re-homing of animals. (We have 2 other centres that offer adoption only: Sai Kung Adopt-a-Pet Centre and Mong Kok Adopt-a-Pet Centre).
