CHIROPRACTOR IN HK

We have created a directory of reputable chiropractor clinics in Hong Kong to assist expats seeking relief from back and other pain.

WHY USE A HONG KONG CHIROPRACTOR?

Many expats living in Hong Kong maintain active lifestyles running, working out in the gym or playing contact sports such as ice hockey and rugby. Intense exercise often results in injuries to joints and muscles. Even expats who are not active run the risk of injury or stiffness because they spend long days in front of computer screens. This results in stiff necks and backs and in many instances serious, chronic pain.

Fortunately, HK has a wide selection of chiropractic clinics to choose from with many of the clinics conveniently located in Central, Admiralty and Sheung Wan. This makes it easy to drop in at lunch or after work to have a chiropractor work on that stiff or injured back, neck or shoulder.

For those who are not familiar with this form of treatment, a chiropractor is a health care professional who employs alternative treatments including hands-on manipulation and deep tissue massage to treat back pain as a result of sports injuries, accidents, or other activities. Other maladies treated by chiropractors include headaches and leg, neck and arm pain often caused by repetitive movements, or sitting for long stretches without proper support. The aim of chiropractic treatment is to restore mobility and reduce or eliminate pain by manipulating muscles and joints. Chiropractic treatment is used as an alternative to pain medication and conventional medical treatment including surgery, relieving pain in bones, joints, cartilage, tendons and ligaments.

Chiropractic care involving the manipulation of the spine and other joints is considered safe, however it is not recommended for patients suffering from spinal compression, cancer osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis, or anyone being treated with blood-thinning medicines.
