I've just purchased a used BMW (3 series) and would like to know on average how much it costs to have the car serviced at the BMW dealership.
Outside of the dealership, could anyone recommened a decent garage they've used that provides a competent and professional service? I don't really want to go to a back alley garage or a personal mechanic.
Thank you.

I take my BMW to HP Cars (they have garages in Chai Wan & Sai Kung)
The owner is an expat and a BMW owner and enthusiast, as are the managers!
I find them good value for money and that know how to repair and not just replace parts. Recently I was quoted $9000 for a wing mirror from BMW dealership, for the part alone. They got one for me for about $3000 and labour was minimal (or might even have been included in that amount).
Most importantly to me they are reliable and get the car done on time and within budget, they also take the time to explain what's wrong with the car.

Any recommendations other than dealerships for servicing a new BMW? BMW service plan costs seem excessive.
