We've got visitors and one of them uses Internet Explorer to check emails and as a result this keeps popping up:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site.
Operation aborted.
We never use IE so have never encountered this pop-up. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?
Thanks.

The visitor does not 'need' to use IE.
There are many browsers and learning to use another, even for a Luddite, is simple.
IE does seem to suffer more with issues than other browsers.
It may also be that you have a very old version of IE on your machine. Try updating it, if you have not already done so. What version is it now, IE9?

How do I update IE? The problem is still there but I'm just assuming him using IE was the cause of it because he told me it happens to him on his computer at home. I've also deleted all his internet browsing history too see if that helps.

- In Windows XP, surf to www.windowsupdate.com
- In Vista and 7, start the program "Windows Update".
Find the new Internet Explorer version among the updates and install it. For that matter you might as well update everything.
