My 2.5 yo daughter is currently at Woodlands and I am debating moving her to Southside. Any experience or insight of Southside would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Which Woodland? Beach or Montessori? I think Beach and Southside are more similar in philosophy than Montessori.
My daughters go to Montessori but I have friends with kids at both Southside and Beach. Everyone seems to like the school their kid is in.

We are at Beach at the moment. Am wondering if it is worth it to go through the move/transition?

Well, what is the reason why you might want to move?

I hear the curriculum at S may be better. I want to know from parents who are there.

Ah ok. Sorry can't help you there. I only have first hand experience of Montessori, which for the record is great.

I think Southside is excellent. Call them up and they will be happy to show you around and talk to you about the curriculum. I think they a lovely school with lovely staff too.

Definitely Southside. Better location and better teachers @ a better price :)

Better location? Well, Woodland Montessori and Southside are in the same building, one on top of the other. Woodland Beach is only a few hundred meters away. As for better teachers I think that is highly subjective.
In my opinion, they are all three very good pre-schools. Personally, I think the kids are bit young to worry too much about the curriculum. It's just pre-school, after all.

I have seen over 12 Kindergartens on HK Island, when we moved last year. Woodlands are ok, but too crowded. That is why I sent him to the Montessori Kindergarten in Chi Fu, now called Bigfoot. They have 4 or 5 classrooms and 20(!) kids with a parent-teacher ratio of about 6:1 currently.
That is why I sent my son there all the way from Repulse Bay. It is not posh but rather down to earth. And yes, it is international with several french (bi-lingual class), German, British, etc. Some locals. I think it comes from the heart what they do. Best to ask for Ms Sonya or Mr Steven, call 2550 7168. That is just my personal opinion and seeing my son being so happy there.
Good luck with the kindergarten hunt :-)
