Hello all
Here is my problem,my Visa expires on August 8th ,and I just sent back all the papers for extension of stay,the problem is thatI will be leaving HK on July 8th with my kids and will not comeback until August 9th after my visa expiration,plus we will be coming back on a one way ticket,if I do not have my extension before I leave,is there something I could do with Immigration so the airline does not turn me down with one way ticket to HK?

Did you tell them when you put in the papers that you were leaving on 8th July? If not you could try calling and seeingif they will expedite your application.
If not: Assuming that you hold a HKID (since you are here with kids that is the assumption) then the airline shouldn't be an issue.
However when you re-enter HK I believe (I may be wrong) that you will need to enter on the visitor's queue as you will not at that stage have a valid visa, and you will then be granted a regular tourist visa.
Then you go to Immigration and collect your new visa.

Call Immigration and ask them for advice or you can e-mail them and leave your cell phone num to them and will frankly advice you. I always call them and ask them for advice.
As far as i know they wll ask you to wite a letter to the immi that you will be leaving and if they can process your case ASAP, if you have the ticket also send them the copy.
