Did it ever occur to you to check the Cimbali website for distributors in Hong Kong? Because if you had, you would have come across this company.

Hey Thanx Claire.

Actually I had tried their site but I could not even get the product choice page to work. I then looked at Worldwide Service and International References but somehow missed the Capillary Ditribution Network. Sounded more like it was a page to describe a technical feature of their machines. ;-)

I am really looking forward to using it. I already have one in Australia and miss it terribly.

Thanx again.

I will give them a call.

Regards,

Mark

Hi eagles9999

Just in case you are unaware of it, there is wonderful fresh coffee to be had from Graeco something -or-other coffee shop at the top of Old Bailey St..almost to Caine Rd Mid Levels.

Once you have yr machine you'll be needing great beans too...give him a try.

Happy drinking!

Hi Butterfree,

I have tried a number of coffee machines and one of my closest friends is a professional coffee roaster (that is where I will be getting my coffee from - http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21498,19650041-5005384,00.html)

and I have to say that all the others I have tried pale in comparison to the Junior. Mine is 15 years old and my friend's is 20 years old and both are still going strong.

Yes, they are expensive but over the long term worth every cent.

However, now realise I can buy one much cheaper in Oz and bring it back then purchase in Hong Kong.

Happy to let you know when I get it and you can take it for a spin if you like. ;-)

Thanx to all those who replied.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Miffy,

I bought mine second hand about 5 years ago. It was in good condition and I get it serviced professionally once a year. Cost me $2000 AUD.

I will be hunting around for another deal about the same I hope.

Mena is currently trying to hunt one down for me so if we find a source I will let you know.

He ships his coffee too so when I get a machine, will be in good shape. ;-)

Cheers,

Mark

Any update on the La Cimbali machine. I have had two DOMUS machines which lasted a few years each (at a cost of sub A$600) they were great value for money and am about to buy another Domus this week as a gift for a good friend. I would love a Junior as it is so much more attractive. Coffex in Melbourne have them for sale for A$3400. With the big increase in the AUD is it still worthwhile buying in Oz - what are they asking for in HK?
