Hi! Does anyone know where to have hair extensions done? My hair is just touching my shoulders, any idea how much it will cost? Thank you for any infos!!!

I went to Hip Fish (in Central) to do mine. You will have to ask over the phone how much as that depends on if you have half head, full head or "just a bit at the back" done like mine. But expect it to be over $1000 HK for a small amount done. They will match your hair color and have to order it in for you I think.. so you will have to come back another day for the extensions to be put in.

you need to be a little carefull when having extensions as the quality varies greatly. You could pay anywhere from 4k to 8k for a full head depending on the quality of hair alone. One strand can cost between $15 up to $50, per piece. You dont need the most expensive but for a decent quality one you would expect to pay around $25-$30 a piece (not including the labour cost). The glue is another important factor as some are very sticky and can cause the hair to matt and tangle badly. This can also result in hair breakage.
Trang at TH2 does a lot of extensions and would be a good person to go and talk to, again they can match you hair with color, length and texture so its best to have a consultation first. Her number is 21103123. I would sugest to go and check around, have a couple of consultations and then make a choice from there.

Jason, mentioned above ^^^, works at Chandler in Central and I've been seeing him for years. He doesn't really do extensions himself, but refers you to their extension specialist - Joey Li. She's a really sweet, young, Chinese girl who is quite talkative and smiley! Her English is quite good and she understood everything I needed.
She does 3 types of extensions glue-in, sew-in and clip-in. I'm not quite sure how much the glue-ins are but everything is done by quotation.
Originally I had the sew-ins done with her, but had to take them out after 2 months because I just got sick of them, which is my own fault! They cost me about $6k with colour and cut included.
I have had a set of clip-ins made by her that cost me around $5,000 (made up of 4 pieces) and she coloured them to match my highlights. The whole salon was really professional, gave me a complimentary blowdry and sent a really lovely follow up email.
