Anyone can share the name and contact deets of the company that delivers frozen meat? I heard of one based in Tsuen Wan but lost the information.

I usually buy NZ beef from Wee Hong Hing along Leighton road but no time now to go on a weekday. (Their minced beef is a lot cheaper than Taste!)

Wonderful if you can provide their current price list too :)

I believe https://www.meatmarket.com.hk has frozen meat. Otherwise Leo's Fine Foods 2814 0302.

We use South Stream. Meat and fish from NZ. Some of the meat is frozen. Good service and reliable delivery.

I've just started using South Stream and think it's great. Great service from the team, too. And yes, reliable delivery times - they even delivered during the Typhoon 9 signal!!

We have used both meatmarket and Southstream and I personally prefer meatmarket. Payment options are easier, portions are better and even though both are good quality, I feel meatmarket is just that little bit better.

however, we actually drive out to TC Deli at Hang Hau and get all our meat fresh and frozen from there. It's all top quality aussie meat and cheaper than meatmarket and southstream.

Try this place - it's in Shatin, they also deliver (and they have frozen duck breasts!) Their US steaks are divine as it the Australian veal and NZ lamb racks. Great value too!

I just checked out the Southstream site and nothing seems to be in stock - pretty useless to me!

Hi Woofetc

South Stream pre-sells fresh fish prior to it's arrival in HK. That way it can be ordered, prepared to the customers liking and delivered as quickly and as freshly as possible.

The store opens when the fish is on the way to HK and closes as soon as it arrives.

On the storefront it clearly states if the store is open or whether it's closed. If it's open and accepting orders it states when the delivery day is. When closed, all the stock is taken out and there is nothing to buy. It's a little like trying to show up at Wellcome at 3 AM - It's closed and there's nothing to buy.

If the store is closed, it states when the store is reopening. You can also sign up for the mailing list which takes the guess work out of trying to figure out if the store is open or closed. When the store opens you receive an e-mail and list of fresh products arriving.

Of course - if you prefer your seafood to be well aged - there are always some high end supermarkets you can visit. Just remember to take out a mortgage first.

I recently got some imported English bacon, thick sliced, unsmoked! Cumberland sausages and Black pudding from Hong Kong Personal Chef. They've just launched a range called Chef's Choice delivering a range of meats www.hongkongpersonalchef.com to get contact info, don't think the meat is on the website yet though!
