For us, it was why have a high rise when you could have a low rise (which for us was one of the benefits of DB). Also agree re construction particularly the new hotel. Will no doubt get more popular when the new plaza shopping centre opens next door to Chianti.

I have been in a few very nice Chianti appartments, but residents there are a bit upset with construction, as the previous posters mentioned, and also when some of these appartments were originally built, they had wonderfull veiws, now newer Chianti appartments are being built and blocking some of the veiws.
Five tower cranes, unfinished blocks, workers and lots of noise, so residents whose rental will come up for renewal are moving out, to low rise or the house-boats in the marina.

Also, the bigger apartments are two small ones joint together so the layout is strange and quite piecemeal. I have heard that the duplex apartments are nice.

Just moved to Chianti. I am aware of the construction, sometimes it is a pain. Our layout is great and it is two apartments put together. So far so good.

I actually own one of these apartments and it is has always been leased so never even stepped foot inside until a month ago when i couldnt find a new place for myself on the island.
I agree that the construction works are a pain in the a@!* but then there's always construction in HK! Having said that my biggest gripe is that when building this complex they really shoulda included a clubhouse as only thing i got is a swimming pool - even though its a large pool it doesnt compensate for not having a gym etc.
My flat is in the Pavilion so luckily I wont have my sea view blocked by the new hotel thats nearing completion. The North Plaza is a plus also as it doesn't mean getting the chianti shuttle to the plaza for groceries etc and the new indian restaurant is good - so far!
Still cannot wait to move back onto island as hate getting the ferry:(
