Moving to HK...Looking to rent

Hi

I'm arriving in HK next month and have 2 weeks in a hotel initially so am tight on time to find somewhere to live.


I've been advised that Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun are good locations in terms of location and value for money and that something about 600sq ft should do me. I'm hoping to get a 2 bedroom appt possibly part or fully furnished. Top budget is 20k. Is this reasonable?? I've been in contact with 1 agent who has suggested that this may not be enough.


Any other suggestions of where I might get my requirements within budgets. I want to be on HK Island and close to where it's all happening, but of course will have to compromise to get something in budget.


Any advice would be really appreciated.
