thanks for posting this. Parents read it worth reading. Am impressed. Patience is a virtue, Dad keeps telling this when we 8 kids of him, we're all still in primary and high school. Love this reading.

As always generalizations are dangerous... I am sure there are parents in America - and around the world... who follow the example of the parents described in the article.

I think it's probably best if people just behave according to their own characters. There should be very few set rules and parents should be allowed to bring up their kids as they see fit without other people telling them what to do. Smacking is okay, beating them senseless with a cosh is not and feeding them solely on M'n'Ms is not.
