Hi, I will be moving to HK over the summer and want to move my 2 cats from Pennsylvania, USA. Any advice on the relocation of cats? Such as do I go with a specialist relocation company or "do it myself"? How long is the quarantine period in HK? Is it best to avoid the cats tavelling in the hot summer months? How do I best "pack" the cats? Thank you

Truthfully, leave them in the US and find them a good home there! HK is not a good place for cats and such a major move will only stress them out a great deal. Remember, they are cats and not dogs. Your cats will adapt fine in a new home as long as they are treated well and will not even miss you. ;-) Good luck with your move and have fun in HK!

molie. that's not an option. they will be indoor only cats in HK as they are in the US.

Oh okay. Just remember a lot of buildings and/or landlords don't allow pets. And if they do, the apartments are really really tiny, not giving the feline's much room to move around. Hence my advice to find them a loving home elsewhere. I know of quite a few people who brought their cats to HK and now regret it. :-(
