I have seen blogs on complaints about the Home Wireless Service provided by Netvigator. What I want to know is if there is actually a way to set up my Mac to be able to work just on the 3 in 1 "box". Also, is there a limit on the time using the internet at home?

Could you expand on this. I'm sorry but I don't get it.
Netvigator is not time limited.
One way to get around the Netvigator router is to get the service without the router (just the modem), then buy your own router. I recommend Buffalo brand, for example the WZR-HP-G300NH.

I am using an iMac with Netvigator using the Airport Extreme as the router. No issues and fairly fast. There is also a PC in the house so no issues with mixing Mac and PC, all done wirelessly.

do you know if it works with airport express as a router?

The brand of router should in theory be irrelevant. However from professional experience Apple routers tend to be "quirky". I recommend another brand, for example Buffalo.

Hi, does anyone know which router works with netvigator, is mac compatible AND can send a permanent VPN signal?

You can find many routers that do VPN but you can find lots of compatibility.
Are you trying to connect to sites together. .. wouldn't it be best to use what the end is using?
Or do you want to provide remote access into your home/office network? In which case anything you pick will do, but you probably want to have a a fixed IP.
Another issue is do you currently have Netvigator router? If you have an existing router PCCW will make it a pain for you to replace it.
