Back in the States, taking the car to service is a no-sweat task - whether is tune-up, oil change, smog check, etc. Here in Hong Kong, I drove my car in Challenger and told the people that the car is due for service. They turn around and say a million things that come up to 10k!!!!! Anyone has a good garage to recommend? I can't stand this idiotic shop anymore!!!

If you don't mind a quick schlep to Sai Kung I would recommend Sun On garage. We've been using them for 11 years and they have never tried to blag any extra/unnecessary work. They charge reasonable rates carrying out annual services, replacing tyres, Freon top-ups etc. etc. and have always given sensible advice (e.g. "Look, it's going to cost you x amount in labour and the car's not worth it...") which has equated to them losing out on many opportunities to make money from us. They've also come to our house at short notice to jump start cars and done it for next to nothing. Decent people who have done a decent job of looking after our cars all this time. Tel. 2792 4280.

Hi, give Andy at Onbase Motors a call on 2488 1823, Andy is from the UK and has a couple of English guys working with him, they have been doing my cars for 17 years now and NEVER had an issue, they will collect and deliver the car back to you or you can visit his workshop in Kam Tin N.Ts and see some "special" cars ! and best of all at a very reasonable $$

I completely second Clancysimmons and recommend Andy at Onbase. He's been servicing my car for the past 7 years. Is reliable, professional, reasonably priced and trustworthy.
