Movers from Hong Kong to Shanghai

Hi there,


I will be moving from Hong Kong to Shanghai and need to find cheap and reliable movers. I got a few quotes but they were all extortionate.


I would appreciate any tips or contacts!

Keep in mind you usually get what you pay for.... a couple of tactics reported to us that are used by 'cheap movers' included:


- not taking out insurance on your stuff (but telling you they did)... of course this will only come back to haunt you if stuff goes missing. I have a friend who moved back to Canada from KL who experienced the loss of most of his shipment only to find out there was no insurance...


- the grandaddy of all scams - a mover low balls their survey quote to get the biz... then when your stuff is at the loading dock they call and say 'we were off on the quote... we need more money' We've had many people post comments about insurers pulling this one on them...
