J Residence - can anyone recommend it?

We are thinking of taking out a lease at the J Residence which I think is in Wan Chai.

Does anyone have any experience living there? Is the area too busy, too noisy? Work is in Quarry Bay so we are looking for somewhere convenient to the office.

thanks

It's very nice, though the studio is limited in space, the 1br is good for a decent couple though not big as well - club house - swimming pool - environment is all good thought somewhat pricy in terms of value for money, but that's the luxury of living in relatively new developments, if budget is not a big issue, then it's a good choice.

Lawrence24, we are intending to sign a lease for 12 months or more.

Why do you say "Its good fr a few dYS BUT ANYTHING BEYOND week nd you will be going nutz."

Nice tall ceilings, nice lobby, pool, exercise area and roof bar. But flats are small for what you are paying. No builtin closets, so will have to buy your own (I prefer built in ones). Kitchen is justa little open counter area.

Area is really busy, lots of western style restaurants and supermarkets in the area. Close to transportation. Very noisy and dusty as there is lots of construction going on.

Since you are working in QB, Heng Fa Chuen, Kornhill and Tai Koo Shing are closer, better value for money. If you don't mind Kowloon, Laguna is only 1 stop away on MTR. There is a newish development in NorthPoint as well.

Live there at present. Can highly recommend. Expensive, obviously, but nice apartments - tall ceilings and many have nice views. Yes, construction not too far away - so will be some noise for the next year or so. But that's HK. Great area.

its expensive and near the street markets. if you live in tai koo, probably better to look at quarry bay or north point.
