Has anyone had any success with trying to reduce dark eye rings? I have tried covering up with creams and keep reading about creams that reduce dark circles - has anyone had any success with any creams that I can buy in HK without breaking the bank?

Laser very works for remedying dark eye circle! I have tried a clinic and done by a qualified doctor for laser dark eye circle. Coz my dark eye circle is really annoying, i have tried many ways to get rid of it, eg. sleep earlier, apply eye cream, do more exercises. However, all of them not works.
Eventually I found this doctor and he is specialist in Laser cosmetic field, seems very famous. I have done 2 times. Now, my dark eye circle improves a lot and my circulation within eye areas are also better now.

Phoebebe - I took suffer from dark eye circles and have tried covering up and drinking more water etc etc and got no change. Can you give me an idea on how much this laser treatment cost you and if you dont want to announce it on here send me a pm with the details. Really appreciate it.

I have tried all these methods before, but not works!
Of course I am happy to share my experience with you if it is helpful for you.
The laser I did which is called Muilti-level laser, costs me $4000 per time. I dont know whether I can announce the name of the doctor and the whole name of the clinic. However, if you type "Lasercare" in yahoo' search engine, you will find the whole name of his clinic. Or I can pm you if you cant find.
Hope you can also remedy your dark eye circle.

I thought this was nuts, but I gave it a go.
Take a cucumber and blitz it (fine pulp) skin and all.
Apply under your eyes and let it sit for 10-15 mins.
It is cooling, refreshing, and lo and behold, the black circles were barely there.
I repeated it for a few days where results got better and better.
(Bear in mind it might not be something you need to do every day, perhaps 1-2 times a week).
Plus, the price of a cucumber v.s. laser or creams. Well, not really worth debating.
Worth a try :-)

If you have dark circles underneath your eyes it may not be through lack of sleep or poor diet. These hollows are often caused by a lack of tissue in the under-eye area and appear dark from the shadows cast from the side of the nose. Doctors describe this as a tear trough depression because if the hollows are deep enough, tears may collect in them.
What happens: The doctor puts local anaesthetic cream on the area and injects the hollows with a hyaluronic acid filler - a synthetic version of the natural hyaluronic acid, a protein found in the body that helps attract water to skin cells thus plumping them up - making the over-lying skin look smooth, and banishing dark circles and treating fine lines at the same time. The treatment lasts 45 minutes.
Recovery: Redness may occur and the area can feel a little lumpy at first, so you may need to massage when at home.
Results: Lasts up to a year.

Dark circles under the eyes can be a symptom of iron deficiency anaemia. For diagnosis get your GP to do a blood test for haemoglobin and ferritin. If this is the cause of your dark circles, they will go away once you start taking prescription grade iron supplements (which are much stronger than the very low dose ones available over the counter).

I agree with Bika, the iron supplement is a good start but you need strong ones from your doctor.
It gives me good results too.
And for the cream, Estee Lauder "disappear" is the best I have found so far....
I'm having these dark circles since I'm 20, but now that I'm older, they really make me look much older & tired all the time.... :-(

I had dark circles for the longest time. I tried everything! From creams that cost $$$ to treatments of all kind.
Now I take iron supplements and go to get lazer facials at Hong Kong Skin Laser Center once a month. There number is 2882 7168. I have only had 3 done so far and I notice such a difference with this combination. Even my boyfriend commented on it. I have never found a cream that works. I can't believe that it was so simple to solve my dark circles, wish I had known earlier :)

I had very serious dark circles and eye bags and I have tried a lot of eye creams but they all didn’t work for me!!!
