Microkiosk bill me

My CSL phone account suddenly have additional 320HKD bill. I wonder, it says 5032 36. This is the number that keep sending me text message about quiz. I always ignore this message.


But now they charge me, as I checked with CSL, it's a third party company "Micro Kiosks". and I just found out that this Micro kiosk have billed me since 4 moonths ago.


I never replied to any of those text messages, NOR playing stupid quiz , NOR giving my number to this third party company.


Then I called Micro kiosks Customer service. I asked refund and they agree. If not i will continue this to police or settle with legal action, since I consider this is a scam.


She (the MK customer service) asked me to send the bill copy and the company agreed to refund 100%. I will send this tommorow. Hope they'll do what they promised.


Anyone have this experience?

Here is how it works.

Normally, there will be a survey on a web site you visited - something like test your IQ - and before giving you the results, they ask for your phone number. Some how by giving your phone number you have consented to get a daily quiz from them for $10 per day to be billed to your phone account. it's totally bogus.


Worst part is that the phone company helps this scam by adding the bogus charges to your bill - and they take a percentage ! Ever wondered why they had sending printed bills ? Because they don't want you to spot the rip off.
