Hi, does anyone know any good, reasonably priced places to hold a private party for about 50 people? there are some previous threads on this but looks like some of the venues have already changed. thanks

there is (used to be?) a Thai place above Cafe O on Jaffe in Wan Chai that a friend of mine booked for a bday with at least 50 a few years back...

Hong Kong Brew House : The basement

You should be able to get the space for free, as long as you do it on weekdays and promise to buy food and drinks. The food and drinks are fairly priced.
