Hi there, I'm totally new to HK and have just rented out an apartment that I need to furnish. Other than IKEA where else can I get decent quality and cheap furniture? With two small children it's almost impossible to get out and explore so any advice would be very much appreciated!
Thank you!

This site under 'classifieds' and household is a good place to start. Also Horizon Plaza has floor after floor of furniture shops.
Also remember when buying furniture that you have to consider the size of your service lift. Many have made the mistake of buying something and then finding they are not able to get it upstairs to the apartment.

Pricerite is also ok, cheap and it will last for a few years. But you probably wouldn't ever want to ship it.

Where do I find Pricerite? Doesn't matter I have a whole heap of gorgeous furiniture stored at home so nothing I buy here will make the journey home with me.

Idavy, I'm moving to Park Island on Ma Wan.

do try Horizon plaza as someone suggested - most of ours came from there - you can find different price range furniture there.

for ma wan , nearest pricerite is in Tsyng YI, direct bus from ma wan.
in tsing yi, go to maritime square.- same mall that connects the MTR.

Depending on your timeline - Tai Po market has a few furnitaure stores wher you could buy or have furniture made to order. Prices are pretty good up there.

On main streets around markets there are usually furniture stores which stores practical modular unit furniture such has beds with compact storage up and down of it. They have the best price..... Next is Pricert.
You should go to a large PriceRt, thus see everything. When you order, they will find the shop nearest to your location. Large PriceRt on HK side, right across mtr Causeway Bay, Exit says "Windsor House" Then, it 's right there across from exit.
There, you also can check out this other one mentioned in a thread above on Windsor House.
Another one here is shinway.com They carry the local furniture I had mentioned earlier. Very practical ones. I bought the shoe cabinet, same sold in WingOn, online from them. All measurements displayed.
