I need a hobby in Hong Kong

I moved to Hong Kong at the end of last year and now that I am settled in, I want to find something to do on an evening or two after work.. a new hobby! Does anyone know of any good groups around?

I have had a look at yoga but all the classes seem really expensive, I can't find a backgammon club.. maybe a non serious sports group.. I don't know! If anyone has any suggestions drop me a line. Cheers!

Three ideas:

1) Learn Cantonese.. It's an interesting language, and can make your stay in HK much more enjoyable.. Try the free online lessons (or get tutoring) at LearnChineseEZ , and later find a local conversation partner or language exchange.

2) Explore volunteer opportunities.. Helping others can be both adventurous and rewarding. You can even find local groups that do projects across the border.

3) Feeling homesick? Get an IP address in your home country to catch up on the latest news and TV program. Check out MyOtherIP.com to get a super fast connection for audio/video.

I'm looking forward to other people's ideas too.. There's only so much sightseeing in HK :)
