Hi,

Please be bear in mind, in HK, a large proportion of your income spends on accomodation, so, if your company takes care of this, then I think HKD40K is enough for a single guy. For saving, it largely depends on your spending pattern, you know, a guy who earns HKD10K can save HKD5K and another guy who earns HKD100K can save nothing.

Thanks for your reply Bad ... yeap you are right about the savings ..It all depends how you plan your finance . Well , anyway I am thinking of staying at a Serviced Apartment...Thinking of a Studio or 1 Bedroom apartment....My friends told me that I can get a decent one for about 10K........Is that correct ?

As for a day to day living ....will be living like the locals ie food , transport and other stuffs.... Maybe once in a while splurge on meals but dont see that much often......Thinking of 25K for Living expenses including of accommodation .....do you think that feasible ? welcome all comments.....

Yes, talking about serviced apartment, 10K should be enough for a decent one. And I guess 25K is again enough to support your living per month.

For a new comer, serviced apartment is a good choice in the beginning as you can simply move in with your luggage, no need to worry about decoration, furniture, cleaning...

Next step, when things get settled, you are allowed to search for your own place with plenty of time.
