I live in Ngau Chi Wan, and it is not easy to grab a taxi at times. I've looked into private car service providers, and all of their rates appear to be at least double of what a taxi ride to the airport would cost (taxi fare to airport is little less than HKD 300). Does anyone know a more reasonably priced car service to/from the airport?

Stuff and nonsense, Himmler! i) Unrealistic prices are unreasonable to the buyer, end of story. Nobody wins. ii) If the OP can use public transport for everywhere except airport runs why on earth would he or she need a car 24/7? Whilst it is not always expensive to run a car in Hong Kong, it very much depends on where you live, your life style and garaging facilities etc. etc. iii) Did you stop to think that it may not even be physically possible for the OP to even drive a vehicle before you posted such an aggressive and unhelpful reply?
The only thing I can suggest to the OP is to find a reliable taxi driver - and there are quite a few about - who jump at the chance of regular airport rides and with whom you come to some arrangement. These are always cheaper than meter taxi fares. We used to use them a lot: a taxi driver gives you a card and you book a trip. We found it works for a while, but invariably after a few months the driver get less dependable, which of course is useless when you have a plane to catch, so the very first time the driver turns up late we switch to another driver (as I've said, many drivers around who like to have regular work coming in). We were paying less than the going rate to the airport (in fact, less than you currently pay) from Clearwater Bay Road.
