What's your roach situation like?

We have lived in HK for 10 years now and this is the first time we are having a major roach problem in a new building! But before I get all freaked out I want to know what other people's roach problems are like if any so that I have a point of comparison.


There is at least 1 roach EVERYDAY in our unit. There were 5 roaches just the other day in the kitchen. Last night there were 2 in the kitchen, 1 in the kitchen drawer and 1 in the bathroom. The kitchen is cleaned every night. We pour a mixture of bleach and water down the bathroom drains every other day and spray roach spray on it. And if you go out into the balcony and randomly fluff any of our things at least 10 run in every direction. It is more of a surprise if we DON'T see a roach. Is this normal? Because this was not the case in any of the other places we have stayed at in the past. I know roaches are a normal thing in HK. But EVERY SINGLE DAY, really? This unit is new too. We are the first occupants of this place. There are still empty units in this building. There is no construction going on beside us too. Am I over reacting?

Do you include the floor drains? make sure the p-traps in the floor drains remain full...they can dry out over time...

Where do you get the bio spray?
