I am thinking about moving to Hong Kong but do not know the area that well. I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what rents I should expect to pay for a shared or one bedroom flat. In addition an indication of what the utility bill costs.

rent is the scariest part of living in HK so please do not be scared off. Subject to your industry, most salaries make allowance for the high living cost and your salary will increase accordingly. It is a great (all be it mayhem at times) place to live.
