Brazilian Keratin Treatment V/S Japanese Straightening

I am planning to get my hair straightened second time in Hong Kong. But, m confused between Japanese one and Brazilian treatment and where should i get it done here.

I cant inform u on the Brazilian Treatment but I've just had mine done for the 2nd time using the Japanese Ion system.


I had it done the 1st time about 18 months ago and it lasted really well as only my roots were beginning to show a slight wave in them but the rest of my hair was still pretty much straight.


I went to a small locally owned salon on the recommendation of a friend as was too scared to get the treatment done otherwise!

I had fantastic results but i guess it would depend on ur hairtype. My hair is very silky yet thick and wavy - not tight curls.


I cant find the business card so cant remember the exact name/address/Tel but know its on Queens Rd West, Sheung Wan. I think its 307 Queens Rd West or thereabouts. There is a Thai restaurant opposite it and a bus stop (#10 & 5) right outside the door. You cant miss it as only hairdressing place on that bit of the road.


The person who did my hair was called Florence - she spks English ok'ish so no probs if u dont spk Cantonese. The treatment cost about $800 and takes approx 3hrs but its worth it in my opinion.


You say u r getting ur hair done for the 2nd time - why not go to the same place u did before or r u wanting to try elsewhere??

Thank you for the response. Acutally after japanese one, i have an issue of severe hair fall and bad quality of hair. So, i am bit reluctant to go for the same one.

The stylist picks a single strand of hair (from diff sections) and pulls it to check on the elasticity of it to see if the treatment will work and not breakoff the hair.


As you say you suffer from bad conditioned hair they may/may not go a head with the treatment - but that is what the initial consultation is for!!

I treating hair. Hair straightening + kerating treatment(last for 3 months), celopphane(this one is colored treatment but make the hair smooth and silky with your own choice of color) as you know that if you do color your hair its make it dry but this treatment is not. I also do hair rebonding and it last for 6 month which is good. I do foot scrub, manicure and pedicure..i do this as a home service. I already done it to many people and so far i didnt get negative feedback from them and they still coming back to me for manicure, pedicure and footspa + massage..
