Hangzhou Airport Mid-night transfer

October 2011 I need airport transfer (Xiaoshan Intl) to a two star hotel. Please advise how best to do it safely. Also, are there two or three star hotels that arrange airport transfer.

HC thanks again. I wanted to know for certain if the official airport taxi service is available about midnight, otherwise I will search for mid-range airport transfer. Or, please let me know which hotel (not five star) provides airport pick up.


Yes, I have managed travelling around China during daylight hours. Actually, it is a good place to move around relatively speaking.

Hi there, I'm from Hangzhou and go back regularly visiting my folks. While "official" taxi is available, it could be a challenge to find one at midnight: taxis go to the airport by taking passengers to the airport. However, there should be airport shuttle buses to the city. (It sounds you'll be travelling on a budget: two-star hotel). Taxi drivers always try to charge a flat fee (going rate rmb 100) but if you insist, he will run the meter instead; may not be worth arguing with the driver if you're comfortable with forking over 100 yuan. The shuttle bus can drop you off at the main train station or two other centrally located places, where you can easily find a taxi. It will be very helpful if you have the hotel's name and address (in Chinese )and phone number printed out with a google map indicating the hotel's location. Enjoy your visit.
